This year will mark my seventy-fifth birthday and fifty years of Aikido training. Aikido has been a major factor in my life since I was a young adult, and I can hardly imagine this life without it.
The training has been hard but rewarding. As the saying goes, “Eat bitter, taste sweet.” It has been my privilege to have fine instructors, training partners, and then my own dedicated students.
Aikido has brought me self-discipline, health, insight, many good friends, and a wonderful wife.
